Because of my mysterious lingering sickness that has passed two weeks we did not have game night at Casa Beej last night.
Is it a cold? RSV? Sinus infection? Allergies? A combination of two or more? Don't know. Just know it isn't Covid. Two tests said negative and if that level of redundancy isn't enough, what is?
Anyway, in case I'm contagious for something, I canceled game night at the last minute, texting those who were the likely attendees to make sure the word got out. Four of us decided to play online, instead.
Catan Universe is having some difficulties and we had to migrate our accounts. That was easy enough.
And we migrated to Discord for the associated chat and trash talking. That took a bit to sort out.
Anyway, with the issues we decided to make it an off-the-books unofficial game night. One player planning to attend does not have the ability to play online. So that added to the decision. Good thing, too! I think I came in second in all four games, with only one game having a temporary surge to 10 points in the harbor master version.
The number 8 was oddly unproductive all night. One game 10 was amazing. And in game one, 7 came up only twice!
Anyway, congratulations you unnamed winners who weren't me! Which was all three of them. Although I confess I don't quite remember who got two wins. It was nice to play without worrying about record-keeping and writing up the results.
Surely, I'll be healthy enough for January, right?
Sadie dodged a bullet. Her afternoon and evening couch time was not disturbed. And she was free to jump up and smell the pizza boxes that I bought for myself since I'd planned that for my dinner during game night, anyway.
But hey, you can still have a meme, right?
It was fun to play Saturday.
Next month for sure! It would be inconceivable for this crud to last that long, right?
