We played an in-person game night hosted by Joe in mid-September. Joe is still looking for his game notes to write this up. But I thought I'd at least show the results despite the lateness of the post.
I'm actually posting this in November but it is for October. I'll get on the October virtual game night recap--which I'd been holding off on writing up--soon.
Beej was green, Pete was orange. Dave was red. Tony was white. Joe was blue.
We played with the Harbormaster variant. Which requires 11 points.
Game one finish, complete with Dave's playing pieces art work:
Pete had 11 points with the harbormaster card and a victory point. I had 9 points. Joe had 7 points. Tony had 7 points with the longest road--despite Dave shortening it a bit. And Dave had 5 points.
Game two:
Dave had 11 points with the largest army and a victory point. Pete had 9 points with the harbormaster card. Joe had 8 points with the longest road. I had 7 points. Tony had 5 points.
Game three:
I had 11 points with the longest road. Dave had 9 points including the harbormaster card. Pete had 8 points including a victory point card. Joe had 6 points. Tony had 5 points.
Game four was downsized when Tony headed home:
Joe had 11 points with both the harbormaster and longest road cards. I had 6 points. Pete and Dave had 4 points. Ouch. The host crushed us.
Obviously we can only speculate as to "probability."
Thanks to Joe for hosting! I'll add in a more complete telling of the tale when he delivers his recap. In the meantime, feel free to offer your comments about the game to fill in blanks.
